Prague Lacrosse Challenge
June 24th - July 4th 2009
Bring your women’s high school or club team
to watch the lacrosse World Championships and compete in a tournament
of your own!
Enjoy entrance to the Women’s World Cup, play against teams
from all over the U.S. and participate in excursions around the
magical city of Prague.
This ten day sports tour not only provides solid competition and
entertainment, but will also expose athletes to a completely new
culture. From a dinner cruise on the Vltava River to a scavenger
hunt through the city of Prague, you will have the opportunity
to explore one of the most fascinating and historically rich cities
in the world.
Prague Lacrosse Challenge Itinerary:
June 24th
*Teams depart from various airports in the U.S.
June 25th
*Teams arrive at Ruzyne Airport, Prague.
*Buses transport teams from the airport to the hotel/teams settle
in.
*Players take the metro/tram to the World Cup games at Slavia
Sports Complex at their leisure.
*Free time to explore downtown.
June 26th
*Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
*World Cup games all day (Semi-finals) at the Slavia Sports Complex.
*Free time in downtown Prague.
June 27th
*Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
*World Cup games at the Slavia Sports Complex all day. (Finals)
*Free time in downtown Prague.
June 28th
*Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
*Scavenger hunts through downtown Prague.
*Free time
*Welcome Banquet at a traditional Czech restaurant to kick off
the tournament.
June 29th
*Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
*Mini-clinic at Slavia Sports Complex (optional) will be given
to two teams at one time.
*Fun competitions among the teams.
*Sightseeing excursions in downtown Prague.
-Wenceslas Square
-Museum of Communism
-Old Town Square
*Free time
June 30th
*Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
*Tournament games
-Each team plays one game
*Sightseeing excursions in downtown Prague.
-Prague Castle and St. Vitus Church tour
-St. Nicholas Cathedral
-Mala Strana “Lesser Town”
-Charles Bridge
*Free time
July 1st
*Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
*Day two of tournament
-Each team plays one game
*Sightseeing excursion in downtown Prague.

Jewish Quarter tour
Opera
Musical performances at Obecni Dum “Municipal
House”
Jazz night
July 2nd
*Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
*Day three of tournament.
-Each team plays one game
*Sightseeing excursions in downtown Prague.

July 3rd
*Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
*Day four of the tournament/FINALS
*Championship game in the afternoon.
*Riverboat cruise/buffet dinner along the Vltava River.
-Prizes/closing ceremony
July 4th
*Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
*Teams check out of the hotel/buses transport players to Ruzyne
Airport.
*Teams fly back to various airports in the U.S.

The order of these activities is subject to change.

This
is the package that we have put together for all of the teams.
If you are interested in booking more tours, activities etc.
we will be happy to accommodate your requests. The rate will
increase in proportion to the additional activities in which
you choose to participate.

Each player will receive a package
of information regarding restaurants; cafes, museums, and additional
entertainment that your teams may want to take advantage of
during your free time. We will be happy to book these events
for you once you arrive in June. The information will include
directions, prices and a brief description of each place/activity.

It
is our pleasure to put together package tours for parents and
other family members as well. Please email laurie@sherrysportstours.com for
further information regarding these packages.

While we promise
to organize a quality tournament and plan fun activities for
the teams, we remind you that SSTI staff members will not act
as chaperones for the players. Teams are responsible for providing
their own chaperones.
