August 10th-18th, 2010
Come join us on a Swiss adventure in the breathtaking town of Interlaken! Post collegiate men’s and women’s teams will have the opportunity to play other clubs from all over the U.S. and socialize in one of the most stunning destinations in the world. Play a minimum of three games, hike through the scenic Jungfrau region and test your limits on a canyoning or river rafting adventure.
Give yourself a much deserved vacation with an edge! Whether you want to improve your lacrosse game or just an excuse to travel, there is something for everyone. You can choose from a wide array of activities ranging from the adrenaline filled extreme sports and hopping pub crawls to the more relaxing dinner cruises or day trips around Switzerland. Swiss Shootout Itinerary:
Tuesday, August 10th
*Depart from various cities in the U.S. (airfare not included)
Wednesday, August 11th
*Arrive at Geneva OR Zurich Airports/bus will pick teams up and drive them to Interlaken
*Check in at hotel
*Dinner cruise on Lake Thun
Thursday, August 12th
*Breakfast at the hotel
*Game day #1 (each team will play one game)
*Day trip to Bern, Lausanne or Montreux
*Free time at night
Friday, August 13th
*Breakfast at the hotel
*Game day #2 (each team will play one game)
*River rafting (optional)
*Free time at night
Saturday, August 14th
*Breakfast at the hotel
*Game day #3 (each team will play one game)
*Hiking trip to Trummelbach Falls and Lauterbrunnen
*Pub crawl around town
Sunday, August 15th
*Breakfast at the hotel
*Game day #4 (plus championship games for men’s and women’s teams)
*Group lunch at City Oberland Hotel
*Free time at night
Monday, August 16th
*Breakfast at the hotel
*All day canyoning trip--rappelling from a canyon, jumping off of rocks and going down natural slides into the water (optional)
*Free time at night
Tuesday, August 17th
*Breakfast at the hotel
*Free Day:
-Jungfrau trip--Take a ride on the highest railroad in Europe and explore the ice palace, dog sledding or wining and dining at the top of the mountain.
-Hiking/biking around Beatenberg or Schynige Platte
-Day trips to Lausanne/Montreux/Bern--Explore the French region of Switzerland in Montreux or Lausanne or visit Einstein’s house and the beautiful clock tower in Bern.
-Ice climbing, hang gliding--If you didn’t have enough of an adrenaline rush all week, try trekking up a glacier and learning how to ice climb or glide through the Alps like a bird.
*Final BBQ/Tournament Party
Wednesday, August 18th

*Buses take teams back to Zurich and Geneva Airports for departure back to the U.S.

This
is the package that we have put together for all of the teams.
If you are interested in booking more tours, activities etc.
we will be happy to accommodate your requests. The rate will
increase in proportion to the additional activities in which
you choose to participate.

Each player will receive a package
of information regarding restaurants; cafes, museums, and additional
entertainment that your teams may want to take advantage of
during your free time. We will be happy to book these events
for you once you arrive in August. The information will include
directions, prices and a brief description of each place/activity.

It
is our pleasure to put together package tours for parents and
other family members as well. Please email laurie@sherrysportstours.com for
further information regarding these packages.

While we promise
to organize a quality tournament and plan fun activities for
the teams, we remind you that SSTI staff members will not act
as chaperones for the players. Teams are responsible for providing
their own chaperones.
